Located in the heart of Peace River, River City Cinema (formerly Cinema 72) has been refurbished with a newly designed lobby and brand new state of the art washrooms. We have expanded to 4 screens with comfortable seating and are wheel chair accessible in three auditoriums. We now have a Party Room available for Birthday Parties and Meetings.

The toll-free movie information line allows out of town customers to check movie information free. Matinees are held every Sunday afternoon and on selected days when children's pictures are playing. Birthday parties are welcome and the special family admission price allows large families to attend at a bargain price any time. Tuesday is discount night, with all seats at $6.

Rainbow Cinemas are part of the Magic Lantern Theatres, which is an Edmonton based, Canadian Film Exhibition Company established in 1980. The company currently operates 16 cinemas with 78 screens across Canada.

We are always looking for intelligent, cheerful individuals to join our team of dedicated workers who love people and movies! You will help provide a safe, clean and fun environment at our cinemas and, with your enthusiasm, will enhance our reputation for offering:

Most of our staff members are cross-trained in box-office cash, concessions, ushering, projection, cleaning and minor maintenance duties. Our practical training and guidance program will provide you with a well-rounded experience in cinema operations, which may develop into a long-term membership in the Rainbow/Magic Lantern family. Many of our senior managers have advanced through the ranks and stayed with us since inception.

Manager needed in
Fort Saskatchewan Alberta

Our newest addition, the as-yet-unnamed triple cinema in Fort Saskatchewan Alberta, needs a manager. This cinema will need a very community based manager, who enjoys working with the people and organizations in this industrial town of 20,000 that is only 25 minutes northeast of Edmonton. We will be promoting meeting rentals, birthday parties, family pricing as well as great, clean surroundings with sparkling digital projection and sound. The manager will live in Fort Saskatchewan, must have a car, and needs previous experience in retail management or entertainment/hospitality. Familiarity with computers and digital devices is an asset. Our managers run their theatres as entrepreneurs, so self starting and the ability to communicate (both written and verbal) is essential.
